Hello PTP Volunteers,
Thank you for helping with Charlotte's Web Activity day next Friday!! Please arrive 10 minutes early to your scheduled time so we can get prepared before the kids arrive. Here is the schedule breakdown:
Cookie Deliveries to Classrooms - 8am (do not need to arrive earlier than this - meet in front of school)... Robyn Devitt, Krystal Van Wyhe, Amy Godbersen
CRAFT Preschool & KEY Classes (8:35 to 9:20am) - (meet in Mrs. Harriman's preschool room) Allyson Iversen, Jeanette Todd, Amy Godbersen
CRAFT 2nd and 5th Grades (9:25 to 10:30am) - (meet in gym) - Jessica Oldham, Candace Bral, Marj Clark, Amy Godbersen
CRAFT Kindergarten and 1st Grades (1:00 to 2:00pm) - (meet in gym) - Allyson Iversen, Jenna Koontz, Candace Bral, Amy Godbersen
CRAFT 3rd and 4th Grades (2:15 to 3:15pm) - (meet in gym) - Laura Faulkenberry, Megan Nicholson, Sherry Reiling, Jamie Corbin, Amy Godbersen
The spider cookies will be boxed by classroom to make it quick & easy.
The preschool/key classes will be making a weaved spider plate for their craft. The plates are pre-punched with yarn tied on and the words are already on. PTP volunteers will help the kids weave the yarn through the holes to make the web and attach a spider at the end. Kids should also put their name on the plate when they are done. All students will also receive a spider grab bag when they have completed their craft at our table.
The kindergarten thru 5th grade classes will be making a webbed Popsicle stick for their craft. Students can pick from 6 different colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple). The Popsicle sticks will be pre-glued and have yarn tied on. PTP volunteers will help the kids weave the yarn around the sticks and attach a spider at the end. Kids should put their name on the ziploc baggie when they are done. These classes will be rotating between the craft and the spider web walk (also in the gym). The OABCIG High School FFA will be running the Spider Web walk and handing out the spider grab bag to all students when they are done.
Thank you again for volunteering to help next Friday! You are welcome to wear barnyard/farm attire if you like - I am going to wear a plaid shirt, jeans, and a cowboy hat! If you have any questions or something comes up next week and you are unable to make it please let me know.
